Did you know that you can influence your reality with your thoughts?! It’s true. I was able to make a major life change just by changing my attitude.
I’ve shared on my website that about 14 years ago nothing was working in my life: not my marriage, nor my job, nor my health. I was bitter and resentful. My attitude was toxic. I was caught in a cesspool of negativity and hopelessness.

Then one night, for some unexplainable reason, I was drawn to hear Jean Bolen speak (author of The Goddess in Every Woman, The God in Every Man, and more recently Urgent Message from the Mother).  She spoke about her newest book at the time, Close to the Bone. It’s about people who have life threatening illnesses. The only remaining choice they have is how they will spend their last days. Will they choose to be bitter and resentful so that they pollute their last days making everyone around them miserable? Or will they appreciate their lives and the love that others have shared with them, making their transition a more meaningful and loving experience? It’s a choice. They can choose their reality.

While hearing her talk I had an epiphany! Sure, I was going through difficult times. I realized, however, that it was my toxic attitude that was polluting everything I touched. If I wanted a better life, I knew I had to change my attitude! And I did! I immediately followed through on my commitment to cultivate a more positive attitude.

Synchronisticly, as soon as I changed my attitude, my whole life took a turn for the better. My life situation was the same, but, now, with a more positive attitude, I was fueled with more energy and the ability to view my situation differently. I saw clearly that there were things I could do to improve my life. Because I was more open and receptive, helpful people began showing up offering encouragement, support, and assistance. I created a new reality for myself. And you can do that, too!
We humans are only using about 10% of our cranial capacity. What’s the rest of our brain doing? It’s believed in some schools of thought that the remaining 90% of our brain contains our telepathic and even ur latent psychic abilities, as well as our past life memories. If you are cynical about this just remember the saying that “magic is only science that we don’t understand yet.” Just a hundred years ago being able to talk over a little hand held box to someone thousands of miles away would have been thought “magical.”  Today it’s commonplace.

Just because we don’t understand something scientifically yet, doesn’t mean it’s something to sneer at. Galileo, a great scientist of the early 17th century, was condemned and forced to spend the rest of his life under house arrest because he taught that the earth revolved around the sun and was not the center of the universe. This is a scientifically proven fact today, but it was not in the 1600’s. We also know that certain people are born with some amazing psychic gifts. Edgar Casey is just one well-publicized case. Just because we can’t scientifically explain something, yet, doesn’t make it false.

I assert, therefore, that most humans have some form of telepathic abilities. Haven’t you been thinking of something and your partner verbalized just what you were thinking about? Or have you ever had a gut feeling that something was wrong and you didn’t follow your gut? Then something unpleasant happened. This has happened to most of us. These are our undeveloped telepathic abilities in action. We have them; we just haven’t developed them yet.

When we have negative and depressive thoughts, not only is our body language expressive of what’s going on inside, but the energy we radiate from our body is also full of electromagnetic energy. It’s part of our telepathic abilities. This can influence our reality by attracting more unpleasant experiences to us, while repelling positive ones. Have you noticed that when you’re in a bad mood, that the mood seemed to linger; that things don’t seem to go well, so you feel more irritated and sink into an even lower mood? When you wake up in a great mood haven’t you noticed that the rest of the day seems to go smoothly and things fall into place easily? This energy is also contagious. When you encounter someone in a good mood, or bad mood, their energy can “rub off on you” and change your mood. That is, if you let it!
A similar thing happens with worry.  The more you worry, the more you can influence the very things you are worrying about to into manifestation. Even if the worst doesn’t happen, you’ve spent all that valuable time worrying and fretting when you could have put your time and energy into creating something of value. In addition, when you stay positive your mind is more resilient and open to possibilities. You’re able to engage in more creative and problem solving activities than when you’re steeped in worry.
Have you noticed that during a crisis that some people collapse emotionally and physically, while others move into action to help those in need, or to try and find solutions. Many people with nagging depressive thoughts and worry are already feeling hopeless. They’re already at capacity. Just one more thing can be too much so they turn inward. Others, who have a more positive solution-oriented attitude are often more resilient and can galvanize into action, thus changing their reality, even when the worst happens.
