Can you believe that the New Year is just 2 weeks away! Are you ready?
Have you been working on your goals and objectives? Setting your intentions? Determining those New Year Resolutions?
Do you want more abundance? Greater success? A loving relationship? A new career? To lose weight? Or exercise more?
Even though you have the best of intentions, it can be undeniably difficult to follow through on those goals and resolutions made in December. The New Year unfolds with all its distractions, issues, and challenges. Sometimes your best intentions just get lost in the milieu of ‘stuff’! This is especially true when you’ve only made a conscious decision to change. You can have all the right reasons, but if you don’t take time to engage your subconscious, then achieving long-lasting change can be elusive!
Believe it or not, it was the daydreams and fantasies, or your mental images combined with strong desires, that propelled you towards success.
You see, we humans have a tendency to get stuck in the same old patterns. They become embedded in our subconscious, and what is embedded in our subconscious resists change. This is what makes it difficult to do something different, like changing your eating behavior, finding a new job, or quitting a long term habit like sleeping in rather than get up at 5am to exercise.
We make those conscious decisions to change, but language and logic are functions of the conscious mind. Therefore, words and reasoning aren’t enough to make lasting change. Your desire to change must be communicated to your subconscious.
The language of the subconscious is images and emotions.
This is the same stuff our dreams and fantasies are made of! And this is the secret to MANIFESTING.
Be persistent!
It takes three weeks of active visualization and focused effort to change a habit, belief, or behavior.
BEFORE IT DELIVERS!
Finally, when manifesting, you must be ready to take action when the opportunity presents itself. Visualization and manifesting are half the equation; taking action is the second half. Frequent visualization helps you stay focused on your goals so you can resist old habits, beliefs and behaviors with greater ease. You must, however, be prepared to take action when you want to change. Remember your subconscious resists change, so lots of reasons will show up to keep you stuck in the same old thoughts, behaviors or habits. Pay attention and be ready to practice. I promise you that the universe will give you lots of opportunity to practice sticking with your new goals and resolutions.
